SOS encompasses the mantra “I am my sisters’ keeper,” as a vow aligned with the organization’s mission to redefine survival, empower survivors, and eradicate rape culture.
Survival is not easy, but survivors do not have to endure the process alone. SOS reinforces that conviction by offering solutions to support each stage of the healing journey—from the initial act of violence through the process of seeking justice and experiencing a fulfilled life beyond!
There is incredible power in sisterhood!
SOS firmly believes that there is “Beauty for A.S.H.E.S.” awaiting every victim of sexual violence. Still, there exists a gap in fruitfully enriching the surrounding society so that each survivor can experience that outcome. SOS offers services that R.E.P.A.I.R. the environment while empowering survivors through Amplified awareness, Support, Healing, and Education for Survival. The beauty of a survivor flourishing with the proper healing is akin to a precious lotus flower, rising from the murky waters towards the sunlight and into its destined full bloom.
The vision for SOS combats rape culture by Restoring, Empowering, Protecting, and Advocating for victims of sexual violence while Impacting and equipping their communities with necessary resources and Redefining what survival and support look like for their unique journeys.
